Hi all, This is a quick video of my off grid system which powers majority of our bungalow apart from the kitchen. The whole setup cost approximately £2500 and has been up and running for the last 4 years without having any issues. The system has three panels connected in series giving me approximately 850 watts of power. The batteries are 6v each and are connected 4 in series giving me 24v @225 amp hours and then the same with the other 4, then both sets are paralleled together giving me 450 amp hours @ 24v. Just a reminder all our lighting throughout our home and TV’S etc are LED’s and consume low power.
I also have a small DIY grid tied system which consists again of 3 x 285 watt panels powering the rest of our home throughout the day which I will do at a later date.
Both systems reduce our power consumption to approximately £50 per month duel fuel through the summer months.
Every little helps👍
