Alyssa Vanilla is a young lady that lives in her van. She found a nice quiet spot on BLM land to park and camp. Alyssa was happy with the spot. It was not real far from the main roads, but quiet with no people around.
As Alyssa sat folding her laundry, she heard an ATV approach. She turned on the camera to record just in case. A guy says he is checking on campers to see if they need water or anything. Alyssa says she is good and after a short conversation the man leaves. A short time later, he returns. The guy says that there is a guy in a truck watching her through binoculars. He says that this guy claims to be doing the same thing. He is looking for people that may need water.
ATV has no water with him. He is warning Alyssa of another guy in a truck and telling her she should move to a location he points out. Alyssa explains that she is going to finish her laundry and leave. The ATV dude stares at her very creepy. She says, do you need something? He said no and then left. The more time that passed, and the more she replayed the encounter, the angrier she got. Alyssa made the right decision and left. I think she was very lucky. I think the ATV guy had bad intentions and was setting up the truck guy.

Danna had mentioned working for a big YouTuber and being MeTooed. Even that was done in a sort of jovial way. If you were paying attention, you could tell there was an underlying seriousness to it all.
Danna's latest video would reveal the secret that would erase the bright white smile, and eliminate the comedic tone of her previous videos.
Danna had built a business and a client base. She had an opportunity to edit videos, and do a Christmas album, for a big YouTuber.
The YouTuber in question was Shay Carl. Danna was promised so many videos to edit each week with a set amount of payment. Danna became fast friends with Shay's wife Collette. She also adored the children. Danna was to work with the family to write, perform and produce 12 Christmas songs. She had already put a lot of time and work into this project.
Things then turned bad when Shay allegedly made advances toward Danna.

RV Prepper Wayne was parked at a truck stop and was sleeping in his RV. A truck hit his RV waking him up. His RV has major damage. The frame is bent and the RV was opened like a tin can.
Wayne lives full time in his RV. He now has to deal with insurance and has no home.
Nomadic Fanatic says he has gotten rid of his Class A motorhome. He says he is content with the setup he has now. Eric said he will not entertain any more inquiries about it. He stated he no longer has it and that is the end of it.
Dreaming Outloud RVing shows us some new RVs at a RV show. These RVs are full of bugs and dirt. Some had broken shower glass, ripped floors, and window trim falling off. No, these were not used. They were brand new with top dollar price tags.

On August 1, twenty-four aspiring female RV technicians will begin their training to become certified RV technicians. Selected from over 100 applications, these twenty-four women will receive the RV Technical Institute’s gold standard training thanks to a partnership between the RV Women’s Alliance and the RV Technical Institute. Ten of the trainees are brand new to the RV industry and have been drawn to the course because of the great opportunity for a career as an RV technician.
Congress allowed the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), the longest running U.S. trade preference program, to expire at the end of 2020. This failure to act has resulted in substantial tariff costs for U.S. companies—including RV manufacturers and suppliers—during a time when businesses are facing historic inflation and price increases.
Keystone RV has filed a notice with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development indicating that it intends to close two plants in the city, displacing 334 employees.
In its notice, the company said it would close Plant 41 at 2833 Sourwood Drive and Plant 705 located at 2639 Lincolnway East effective, Sept. 23. The notice is intended to give employees 60 days to prepare for the job loss.

Stephi Lee bought a house.
Stephi set out on her vanlife journey a while ago. She met Morgan and they hit it off. They both have sistic Fibrosis and didn't have a good outlook.
The two got a house and moved in together. Things didn't work out and Stephi packed up the van and hit the road once again.

With the ever growing number of people full time RVing, and living in other vehicles, can you travel the country with a concealed carry permit? The short answer is no. Just because you have obtained a carry permit from your state, it may not be honored everywhere.
There are those that would argue that their car is their home. You can have a self protection device in your home. I am not the judge you will need to argue that point with.
Unlike other rights, you can not exercise your second amendment right everywhere. I can travel across state lines and still use my free speech and right to peaceably assemble. I can be a certain religion in every state. I can not use my carry permit everywhere.
While traveling you must know what the rules are in every state you wish to stop in.

There was a channel I used to watch called the Freedom Theory. They were a couple living the full time RV life. Their travel vlogs were entertaining and informative. They shared their journey of on the road living with us. They then became pregnant. I thought it would be interesting to see the changes that would be made for a new family member. Would they remain full time on the road? The experience of the arrival of the new addition to the family was interesting to watch. We were along for the baby's first road trip and more. Time went by and there was yet another pregnancy announcement. That was about a year ago. Since then the videos have stopped. Where did they go? What happened to them?
I searched their Instagram and Facebook. Here is what I found. They had an incident with their RV. The children look happy and healthy in the photos. All looks good and they all seem to be doing well.

Isabel Paige is a young lady in her early twenties. She lives in the mountains of Washington state. She built a tiny home on property owned by her parents. Isabel has traveled and studied. She found that a live alone in the mountains, living off the land, was the life for her. Isabel did take some time and was a van dweller for some time with a friend. She is now back in her tiny home in the mountains. Isabel starts her day with yoga and usually a walk to the top to watch the sunrise. She picks berries and roots to make food. Isabel spins wool and then weaves the hand spun yarn into blankets and clothes. Isabel can often be seen running through the wilderness screaming into the vastness. She soaks in the beauty around her. She even baths in the cold river.
Now some say this is just a facade. They say a young girl would never live that way. It is all fake for YouTube. Isabel lives in a house with her family. She just goes to the tiny house to film. I tell you what I think.

Full time RVers Happily Ever Hanks were trapped inside their RV after a tree fell during a storm. The tree fell on power lines and their RV. After assessing damage inside the RV, they looked out the windows. Seeing downed power lines, the decision was made to remain inside to avoid risk of electricution. Having worked for EMS, they knew the dangers of downed power lines. The Hanks then called 911. When emergency services arrived, and they were given the all clear, they went outside to assess the damage the tree had done. The branches and not the trunk hit the RV.
The Hanks were staying on a friends property, not at a park. Luckily no one was hurt and the damage was not severe. Not to say there was no damage, but it could have been much worse.
3 weeks ago, Adventure Bandits were not so lucky.
There 3 month old RV was crushed. They had the misfortune of camping at a RV site next to a rotting, leaning tree. The tree fell taking out much of the RV including the extended slide. With a large gapping hole in the RV, the damage was extensive.
The lessons are to be aware of your surroundings. Wooded areas offer shade and are often scenic, but can have dangers. Have an exit plan, as you would in a house or at work. If there are downed power lines, wait for the all clear if possible, if there is no immediate threat.
Full time RVers can get into a routine and just work on auto piolet at times. Take time to look around. If storms are looming, pay special attention to large and shallow root trees.

Vancity Vanlife did a video of a rig tour of Tiny House Jeep. This is a Canadian lady that lives in her jeep. She has it built out with a bed and even a kitchen.
While sleeping in her Jeep, she was awakened by the sound of yelling and rocks hitting her windshield. A man was outside pounding on her vehicle and yelling. She managed to get away only to be followed. The man attempted to run her off the road several times. She kept her wits and drove to a firehouse. The firefighters came out and detained the man until police arrived.
Days later Tiny House Jeep is still feeling the stress of the encounter.
We are often painted a picture of bliss and carefree living by many YouTube nomads. People like Cheap RV Living, Bob, sing the praises of the free, cheap, and easy life. Sell everything and live the stress free life. Live your child like wonder, we are told.
With the rise in popularity of the nomadic life, with headlines like the Gabby Petito case, this lifestyle is very well known. Don't get lax and fall for the hype. Enjoy the lifestyle, but be prepared to protect yourself. Don't think just because you don't live in a house in a city that you are immune to crime. Life is hard everywhere for everyone.
