400 Watts at 800RPM - Can the little guy do it!?
With our turbine tower project stalled as we work with the City on getting a permit it was time to bench test the turbine and publish the results for anyone interested. I was able to test a few things, such as what wattage it puts out at the rated RPM, whether the turbine cuts out if the battery voltage is too high, whether the turbine will apply a brake if the voltage is too high, and what happens if you rev it higher than the rated speed! All of these will be tested against what Amazon has on the description page for this turbine, here are the key data points for this turbine:
